Types of control
Direct control without using relays or PLC
Indirect control by using relays

Advantages of direct control
1- simple and easy
2- cheap

Disadvantages of direct control
1- remote control is not possible
2- switching more than one valve at a time is not possible
3- Latching is not possible
4- Some design is not possible

Difference between 5/2 single pilot and 5/2 double pilot
When the electric signal is cut
5/2 single pilot return to the initial position
5/2 double pilot keep and store the last position (like a detent)
